Can my child learn ballet online?
Absolutely! The year 2020 gave us an opportunity to teach more than 5000 kids all over India and abroad. We saw the power of the medium where kids from small towns who had the great eagerness to learn were engaging in our ballet basics, barre work, choreographies and learning them as well as taking corrections from their teachers.
There is a saying, alternately attributed to Buddha Siddhartha Guatama and the Theosophists, that goes: When the student is ready, the teacher appears.
What are the requirements for an online class?

Approximately 2 x 2 meters of space clear of obstructions, animals and small children.

A chair or similar surface to hang on to for ‘barre’ work (Age 8+) / Yoga Mat

Access to a smart phone, computer, laptop, or tablet connected to WIFI

Download Zoom / Google meet (as instructed) before your class.
What should my child wear?
For a new student, we usually ask the kids to wear a fitted top and legging with socks, hair tied back.
Once the student gets comfortable in a month or so, we ask parents to invest in a ballet attire.
That is ballet tights, leotard, ballet shoes, and hair tied back neatly.

What is the focus of Pre- Ballet classes?
In Pre ballet classes (4 - 7yrs), our focus is a lot on strength and flexibility exercises. We also work on basic ballet positions, posture, basic ballet movements. This class is more about developing the love for ballet.
What is the focus of Certified Ballet classes?
Lessons include floor exercises, barre work, adagio. The focus is to give kids a strong foundation in ballet that gives them a deeper understanding of their body.
This foundation lessons will definitely help kids pick any dance form in school / competitions and stand apart.
Are there any levels for ballet?
We have 8 levels in our ballet certification exams. Preparatory is the starting level , level 1b and so on.
What if I want to cancel after payment?
Our cancellation policy is as follows; once you have signed up for a monthly plan you have 10 days to cancel from the date that you purchased the subscription. We are not able to offer you a refund for any remaining days once your classes has started under any circumstances. Please refer to our full Terms & Conditions.
For how many years does one have to learn ballet?
Ballet is an intensive and a very technical form of dancing which needs years of practice. To master this form of dancing, it depends totally on various factors like child’s interest, regular practice, being able to take corrections and apply them in class. It typically take 5 to 6 years to get to a good level of dancing.
What method of ballet do you teach ?
BBC educates kids in the Vaganova ballet method.
Will my daughter get certified after joining the class and when? (applicable to 8+yr olds )
Our term typically starts from February to January. If a student joins at anywhere from Feb to March , she will be eligible for the examinations. At the end of the term, i.e in the month of January, we conduct examinations which will be accessed by an International Ballet Teacher. After completion of these examinations, the student gets certified in the Vaganova Ballet method.
